What it does

Earmark is a podcast player built around playlists rather than a single inbox. A playlist follows the shows you choose and applies your rules: how far back to look, newest or oldest first, which show wins when two publish the same day, and keywords to keep or skip. Played episodes drop out. Pin anything to the top by hand and it plays first. When a followed show publishes, the list updates on its own.

Playlists with rules: Follow shows, set a window, order and keywords, and pin favorites to the top. New episodes get a badge until you open the list.
Voice memos: Turn on a per-playlist prompt and Earmark asks for a quick spoken note when an episode ends. Memos live with the episode and export as .m4a.
Find shows your way: Search by name, paste an RSS feed URL, import an OPML file, or on the Mac import the shows you follow in Apple Podcasts.
Sync through your iCloud: Subscriptions, playlists, favorites, progress, settings and memos follow you between iPhone and Mac. No account to create.
CarPlay: Playlists, Shows and Favorites on the car screen, with speed control on Now Playing. Memo prompts wait until you are parked.
Listening details: Playback speed from 0.75x to 2x, mark as played, lock screen and Control Center controls, and a Feed Info page for every show.

Privacy in one paragraph

Earmark has no account, no servers of its own, no analytics and no ads. Feeds and audio stream directly from each podcast's host. Search uses Apple's podcast directory. Sync uses the private iCloud database of your own Apple Account, which the developer cannot read. The microphone is used only when you tap Record. On the App Store, Earmark's privacy label is Data Not Collected. Read the full privacy policy.

Requirements

iPhone running iOS 26 or later, or a Mac running macOS 26 or later.
An internet connection. Episodes stream; Earmark does not download them for offline listening.
iCloud signed in on each device, if you want sync. Earmark works on one device without it.
Free, public podcast feeds. Private or subscriber-only feeds that need a login are not supported.
